The Model 400 Whole House Bypass Humidifier uses new evaporative technology to provide all the benefits of a flow through unit (simple and infrequent maintenance), WITHOUT THE NEED FOR CONNECTION TO A DRAIN. It is the perfect choice for homes with septic systems or where a floor drain is not available or for families interested in water conservation. The Model 400 is the most environmentally-friendly unit on the market. The new technology behind the Model 400 is the use of a wicking water panel, which allows for 100% of the water in the unit to be used in the evaporation process with virtually no standing water. It also uses a unique patented water delivery system that eliminates the need for a reservoir and only needs 8 ounces of water to operate. Like all Aprilaire Whole House Humidifiers, the Model 400 is computer-equipped to automatically adjust to ensure the optimum level of indoor humidity at all times throughout the heating season, based on outdoor temperature changes. It responds to outdoor temperature changes more than 86,000 times per day. It has an automated "No-Touch" computer operation, which eliminates the need for manual adjustments. You never have to worry about too much or too little humidity in your home.
